The role of a writer is not to say what we all can say, but what we are unable to say.  ~Anaïs Nin

A BOLDER SALIMBAY. The revised logo embodies the commitment of the publication to critical awareness and innovation. Design was courtesy of Kulay Labitigan.

Salimbay is composed of students who write for the cause that cannot be simply resolved with mere news sheets. Amid the blatant apathy on numerous campus and industry issues, our aim is to reflect a variety of critical perspectives, build awareness with these varying views, and instigate intellectual and political discussion from these.

To better equip writers with an analytical standpoint and help them develop ideas, the publication organizes a kapihan every Wednesday afternoon. Running consistently now, it is where Salimbay writers debate and talk on controversial topics and the highs and lows of student life.

Salimbay is a member of the UP Solidaridad Systemwide Alliance of Campus Publications and Writers’ Organization.

For contributions, commentaries, details on kapihan, and those interested to join the publication please contact the publication through e-mail: salimbay.ait@gmail.com
