Last Hilton Leaves PH

GONE ARE THE HILTON DAYS. The hotel brand finally left the pink building as Swiss Company Moevenpick established its first hotel in the Philippines.

Oikonomos International Resources Corporation ended its management agreement with Hilton Worldwide after six years of contract in the property owner’s boutique resort in Mactan Island, Cebu.

A Swiss company, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, has taken over management since April, rebranding the property into Mövenpick Resort & Spa Cebu.

While Mövenpick is yet to achieve beyond 70, Hilton has already reached 540 branded hotels worldwide. Famous hotelier Conrad N. Hilton founded the hotel in 1919.

Hilton was a UP AIT partner in practicum programs.
