With the success of the first AIT Research Conference last March 7-8, the institute will once again hold the said event next semester.
Organized by the Division of Tourism Research and Extension Services (DTRES) office, the conference consists of two sub-events, namely: the Undergraduate Research Conference and the Faculty Colloquium.
According to Prof. Reil Cruz of the DTRES office, the research conference is an event wherein students may present and defend their theses before a panel composed of the AIT faculty and tourism students from other colleges and universities.
On the other hand, the faculty colloquium finds the AIT’s faculty, as well as educators from different schools, presenting their doctoral dissertations and discussing them with the academe.
Last March, there were 12 student presenters for the research conference and 5 faculty presenters for the colloquium.
For the time being, a specific date for the 2nd AIT Research Conference is yet to be declared. However, students who are interested in presenting their papers are advised to watch out for announcements from the DTRES office. Rachel Tabilin
