AWAITING JUDGMENT DAY. Secretary Lim hears a commentary during the tourism secretaries forum at AIT last Feburary.

The National Tourism Development Plan is scheduled to be presented and signed by the President after his State of the Nation Address, said Tourism Secretary Alberto Lim last July 22.

The six-year plan, which shall replace the 20-year old Philippine Tourism Master Plan, was developed by a joint venture of Indra Philippines, Inc. and Asia Pacific Projects, Inc. Five companies participated in the bidding.

Some of the plan’s foci include improvement of aviation and accommodation infrastructures, branding, and product development.
